YouWager Review 2020

YouWager Review 2020

YouWager has been around forever. It’s known as a basic sportsbook and that’s what it is. You don’t get a lot of bells and whistles here but what you do get is pretty good. It’s designed with a lot of in-game bets which some people will like. It also has a casino you can switch to when you want a break from making sports bets. It’s just the basics but that can be nice from time to time. It will take you a bit to get used to its interface but once you’ve done so it will be a fun place to bet on sports – if they have the sport you are looking for.

Youwager Pro and Con
  • Odds are decent
  • Good live streaming
  • Been around since 1999
  • A decent number of sports
  • Not groundbreaking in what it offers

YouWager Bonus Offers

You have two welcome bonuses to choose from. If you use your credit cards to deposit money, you’ll get 50% matching funds up to $500. Or if you use Bitcoin to make your first deposit, you’ll get 50% matching funds up to $300. This money can’t be withdrawn; it must first be played through. The goal of this promotion is to push you to use Bitcoin. And if you have Bitcoin that’s great. This all goes into our YouWager review.

We do prefer sites that have a 100% matching bonus, so we downgrade them a bit for that. But as far as making you want to use Bitcoin this bonus offer is a success. It’s up to you how you want to play it, but either way, this welcome bonus is right in the middle of the field of offers you can find at online sportsbooks. Our YouWager review reflects this.

Usability, Look & Feel

YouWager is set up simply. It has a blue background with white letters. This makes it easy to see everything clearly, both on their website and their app. And it works simply as well. Everything is where it should be. This makes it intuitive to use. You can sort your bets in various ways. It should be noted that it only displays bets in the American style so if you are used to the UK style that might be a bit of a jolt. All of this goes into our YouWager review. What you have is a basic site that is simple to use. That will appeal to a lot of people and gains points in our YouWager review. It’s a well-designed site without any of the distracting flashy elements that so many new online sportsbooks use.

Crypto & Fiat Payments

You can make deposits and withdrawals with either Visa, MasterCard, or Bitcoin. You can also make withdrawals through direct wire transfer. The most you can deposit with Visa and MasterCard is $500. The most you can deposit with Bitcoin is $15,000. There are no fees for Bitcoin withdrawals but if you use Visa, MasterCard, or direct wire transfer you’ll have to pay a ton in fees.

The site is trying to encourage you to use Bitcoin. That’s why it’s a crypto gambling site in the first place. All of this is clearly spelled out on the site. As we mention in our BetWinner review, it plays a big part in our YouWager review. The bottom line is that if you have Bitcoin you want to use it here. It will save you a ton of money and allow you to bet more than if you use Visa or MasterCard.

Customer Service

YouWager has excellent customer service. You can contact them via live chat. You can call them up on the phone. Or if you have a more complex question that’s going to require you to attach documents you can send them an email. This is great and plays into our YouWager review. We tested them all out and they all worked perfectly. We got a response on live chat in seconds. Same with the phone. An email too, a couple of hours to get a reply from.

All of these customer service options are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. No matter how complex a problem we brought them they always had the right answer. This is the level of customer service we want to see every casino have. It gets them a lot of points in our YouWager review. Their staff is well trained, on point and friendly. They do offer it all in terms of customer service at YouWager.

License & Security

YouWager is licensed in Costa Rica. This means that that country makes sure that they are legit and offers honest bets on both the sportsbook and their casino. They have the most high-end security encryption commercially available. That means your money is safe going to them and coming back from them to you. They seem to have done everything possible to make their site secure. Any system is only as secure as both ends of the line.

That means you should run an anti-virus program regularly to make sure your computer is not compromised. As long as you are virus-free placing bets on YouWager should be as safe as any other site. In our YouWager review, we give them a ton of points for offering one of the best and safest sites in the world. Our YouWager review reflects this in a positive way. They know what they are doing.

Rewards & Loyalty Program

YouWager has a basic loyalty program. Each time you make a bet you earn points in their VIP program. Those points can then be exchanged for free bets or free plays. It’s not as earth-shattering as some sportsbooks and casinos but at least it rewards you for making bets and being loyal to their site. This is factored into our YouWager review, as we did in our BitCasino.io review. Like most of the stuff on the site, it’s basic but it gets the job done.

YouWager has been around for a long time and they aren’t looking to innovate. But that said if what you want is to bet on sports or at a casino and get a reward from it, YouWager has you covered. We give them points in our YouWager review for doing what needs to be done to provide an ok VIP experience. You can find better, but you can also find a lot worse out there.

Youwager Sports Betting

Betting Markets

YouWager only has 11 sports you can bet on:

  • Football
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • MMA
  • Esports gambling
  • Horse Racing
  • Golf
  • Boxing
  • Soccer
  • Rugby
  • Motor Racing

They also recently started adding e-sports to the mix and that seems to be growing. Having these few sports is a result of them being an older, more conservative sportsbook. If you want to bet on more obscure sports, you need to find a different sportsbook. This goes into our YouWager review.

Is YouWager a scam? No, it is not. Is YouWager legit? Yes, it is. We did a YouWager test. We found YouWager deposits to go through smoothly. We also found YouWager withdrawals to work just as well. YouWager is safe. This all plays a part in our decent YouWager review.

Odds

When it comes to odds, YouWager is split. The odds it posts for American sports are excellent. They are some of the best in the business. The odds they have for non-American sports on the other hand are not good. They are some of the lowest we’ve found. That’s good for people in the United States but not so good for other people. This plays into our YouWager review.

Live Betting & Streaming

Live Streaming on YouWager is excellent for the sports they provide. If a live stream is available for one of the sports, you can access it easily and it will load right up. There is no problem here. When you can’t catch a live stream, they have animations that show you what’s going on in the game. Also, they keep their scores up to date so you can always know what’s going on even if you are somewhere with poor bandwidth. This plays into our mostly positive YouWager review.

Limits

For some sports, the most you can bet is $500. For others, it is $2,000. They also have the option for you to contact them to increase the amount you can bet. We have no idea what the maximum would be if you asked for it. We are guessing it would be quite high, and the limits posted on the site are just for regular gamblers; high rollers would be welcomed with open arms.

Product Summary & Conclusion

Are there things that can be improved? Of course, there are. But YouWager knows what it does well and sticks to that. They could have a more interesting bonus. They could have more sports. They simply exist as a basic sportsbook and that is fine for what it is. Sometimes you want lobster bisque and sometimes you want McDonald’s. YouWager is the McDonald’s of sportsbooks. This plays a factor in our YouWager review.

It’s basic but it works and that is all a lot of people are looking for when it comes to making bets on sports. We give YouWager a solid B in our YouWager review. It’s not going to change the world but it’s not going to rip you off either. It pumps along and the people that like it tend to like it. That’s all you need at the end of the day.

Youwager Casino

Software

The YouWager casino is where things go sour. They have two providers – AmigoTech and Visionary iGaming. Suffice to say these are not well-known providers and don’t deliver the goods. They offer 41 slots, 24 table games, 18 games of video poker, and three types of live dealer games.

Games Portfolio

The YouWager casino is a little less impressive than its sportsbook. They have two providers – AmigoTech and Visionary iGaming. Suffice to say these are not well-known providers and don’t deliver the goods if you’re looking for games from top-name developers. They offer 41 slots, 24 table games, 18 games of video poker, and three types of live dealer games.

The collection you’ll find here are different versions of popular games. For example, they have the “Dog Father” game, which is kind of a parody of the “Godfather” game. Nearly all of these games come from AmigoTech, which is a lesser-known casino provider. The graphics are a bit older looking. This is taken into account heavily in our YouWager review.

The three live casino games – provided by Visionary iGaming – are fine. But there’s only three of them. They are built by setting up a video camera in a casino and letting you play. This gives you the experience of being in Las Vegas or Monte Carlo wherever you might happen to be. This could easily be expanded beyond the three basic games they have. But since they are the only good thing about the YouWager casino we figure we should mention them. They give a slight bump to our YouWager review. Not a large bump but a bump, nonetheless.

The limits on what you can bet vary by game. If you want to bet $50 a spin on a slot machine you can find it. If you want to bet $500 on a hand of blackjack you can find that too. We have no complaints about the limits the casino imposes. They are pretty much industry standard and not something to complain about.

It feels like the company added a casino to their sportsbook to make a little bit of extra money. We’ve reviewed a lot of sportsbooks and their online crypto casinos, and YouWager could have had a great casino.

So for the purposes of our YouWager review, the casino section is not as fantastic as the sportsbook. But if you’re a gambling fan who likes YouWager and you’d like to take a break with some slots, table games or live casino action, it’s perfectly fine!

Overall Conclusion

YouWager is your basic sportsbook site. And it runs well as one. It’s easy to navigate and their customer service is excellent. They only offer a few sports, but they are the major ones. We have no complaints about that. Where we do have a complaint is with their online casino, but as we said above, if you’re a sportsbook enthusiast who just wants to play some slots or a hand of blackjack, you will find what you want and be entertained.
