Nitrogen Sports Review 2020
Nitrogen Sports Review 2020
Nitrogen is an all-in-one bitcoin gambling website based in Costa Rica that offers casino, poker and sports. This particular article is a Nitrogen Sports review, if you’re looking for bitcoin casinos, why not check out our Bitcasino.io Review.
In this Nitrogen sportsbook review, we’ll take a closer look at their platform and conduct our very own Nitrogen test to see if it lives up to expectations. We’ll also take a look at their sportsbook offerings, including the ESports gambling options.
On top of all this, we’ll answer those all important early questions, such as “is Nitrogen legit?”, “is Nitrogen safe?” and is there such a thing as a Nitrogen scam?”
Nitrogen: Pros & Cons
- Nitrogen withdrawals and payouts are among the fastest online
- Complete user anonymity Impressive selection of sports and markets
- Bitcoin only casino - avoid currency conversion costs
- Nitrogen deposits are simple and risk free
- Available to players from any country
- No sports welcome bonus available
- Sportsbook is still fairly new and could improve
- Bitcoin is the only cashier option - may be restricted for some
This is the one really big negative in our Nitrogen sportsbook review, so we’re best to get it out of the way early on; Nitrogen don’t, at the time of writing, offer any form of Bitcoin casino bonus codes in their sportsbook, nor their casino or poker room.
There is a good reason for this, however!
Nitrogen’s main selling point is that they are a bitcoin only casino that guarantees complete user anonymity, which also means they can accept players from quite literally any country in the world. When you sign up and register an account with Nitrogen, you can quite literally do so without giving them a single piece of information, giving yourself complete anonymity and online privacy. They also have a 2-factor authentication that makes your account as secure as it possibly can be.
The downside of this is it means that they categorically cannot offer any bonuses whatsoever, including sign up offers, free spins and reload bonuses. The reason being that with no personal information, it’s completely impossible for them to prevent users from abusing bonuses or even to identify and sanction those who do so.
We stated that this is a negative point of our Nitrogen sports review, however, it is completely understandable all things considered. If you’re looking for a bitcoin sportsbook that has a welcome bonus, check out our Betwinner Review.
First up in this section of our Nitrogen sportsbook review we’ll talk about the most unique, and perhaps best, feature of their sportsbook. To enter the website you have to create an anonymous account by simply entering a captcha code. This may seem a bit odd at first to traditional sportsbook users, but it honestly is an excellent feature.
Once inside you can make quick bitcoin deposits and play in your one time Nitrogen sports account. This is perhaps the most innovative thing we’ve seen from a bitcoin gambling website. Users who do seek more security or want to play with higher volumes of cash can create a proper account with the 2 factor authentication process.
The sportsbook itself works pretty seamlessly, is easy to navigate and looks alright but not jaw droppingly amazing. In terms of design, it has a similar black/ dark grey background that you can find with many major online sportsbooks, such as Paddy Power or 888 Sport. The software is nothing fancy, but it does the job without lagging or bugging, which is all we can ask for really!
Overall, we’d score them pretty highly in this part of our Nitrogen sports review.
We’re duty bound in this Nitrogen sportsbook review to mention that Nitrogen is a bitcoin only sportsbook that doesn’t accept payments in any form of fiat currency, or even other types of crypto beyond bitcoin. If that suits you fine, then we think you’ll like the deposit and withdrawal process that we’re about to explain in this section of our Nitrogen sports review.
Bitcoin betting exchanges have their fair share of benefits. Because bitcoin is the only payment method, no fees are charged for neither deposits or withdrawals. When it comes to making deposits, the only thing that Nitrogen requires is one confirmation on the blockchain, meaning deposits can be processed and in your account within minutes.
The withdrawals process can also be equally as quick, and are usually also processed in minutes. The only exception is larger withdrawals that may need to be approved by Nitrogen’s management team, however even these are normally processed within a few hours at most.
Even as far as bitcoin sportsbooks go, Nitrogen is as quick as it can get.
In this section of our Nitrogen sports review, we’ll take a look at the various ways in which you can contact their customer service. You can contact the Nitrogen customer support team through 2 main channels; their online chat room and email.
The online chat is not the box in the bottom right corner, speak directly to an advisor type of affair that you’d expect with most companies, gambling or otherwise. Instead, what Nitrogen have is an early internet era style chat room that’s monitored by staff members. While the staff admin are on hand to answer any questions you may have, the chat is largely dominated by fellow users moaning about a League 2 team bursting their acca.
When you access the email via the website, you fill out a box and are entered into a ticketing system. The actual email address is provided on the right hand side, however, Nitrogen assures the fastest way to get the support you need. Their aim is to answer tickets within a 24 hour period, however they were much faster in our experience.
Security is essential for Bitcoin betting sites. In this part of our Nitrogen sportsbook review, we’ll test their security, safety and legitimacy, just as we promised at the start.
Nitrogen is licensed and registered in Costa Rica, so it’s a legit company as far as that goes. As it’s a bitcoin only sportsbook and offers no fiat currency options it isn’t a member of any regulatory body that can guarantee deposit or fund protection. They therefore have their track record to rely on in terms of legitimacy, which appears to be pretty solid, with most customer reviews citing that their winnings were paid out – and paid out quickly.
Nitrogen sports review: safety and security
We’ve already mentioned that Nitrogen’s anonymous login process makes your account with them completely private, and therefore safe from that point of view as you have to provide absolutely zero personal details. To make your account further secure, they use a 2 factor authentication system. If you choose to make a one time play account, all you need to do is to enter a captcha code – you don’t even have to provide an email address.
We mentioned earlier in this Nitrogen sportsbook review that it’s impossible for Nitrogen to offer any form of sign up or deposit bonus due the nature of it’s 100% anonymous accounts. So the question here is do they have any other form of rewards or loyalty programme to offer their customers?
Strictly speaking, with the Nitrogen sportsbook, there is no rewards and loyalty program to speak of unfortunately. There is, however, a poker rewards scheme, which you can play with the same account and the same login. With Nitrogen Poker you can earn Loyalty Points in order to earn Nitrogen Rewards. There are 5 tiers in the Nitrogen Rewards scheme; Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Platinum.
This is, after all, a Nitrogen sports review, so let’s not dwell too much upon their poker offers here. Nitrogen sportsbook users can earn a small bonus through the Nitrogen Affiliate Program. How this works is that you can recommend friends by sharing a link, and everytime someone signs up using your link you’ll get an extra 0.3% of your total wager.
Nitrogen Sports Betting
It wouldn’t be a Nitrogen sportsbook review if we didn’t take a look at the sports betting markets they have on offer, would it?
The amount of sports on offer in the Nitrogen sportsbook is seriously impressive, and surpasses that of most established bitcoin and fiat currency based online sportsbooks. Think of a sport, league or competition that takes place on this planet, and chances are Nitrogen offer odds on it.
All of the popular global betting sports are there; from football (soccer), to horse racing, boxing and MMA, as well as country specific sports, such as Aussie Rules and American Football. There are also plenty of betting markets on the newly popular eSports and their betting markets that even reach out to cover everything from the lesser known or obscure sports to the downright bizarre – for example, they offer odds on eating contests!
When it comes to odds with Nitrogen Sports, you can view them in the format decimal, fraction or American odds, in keeping with their wide international reach. On almost all of the sports markets they have available, they offer futures, in play and alternative lines along with a number of additional odds.
They also have a range of combo bets on offer, including parlay and teaser bets, which can be easily created on your betting slip. Their range of props bets is also impressive, and can be placed as moneyline, point spread, or over/under bets.
Nitrogen offer odds on just about every sport and every possible bet you can think of. As we mentioned earlier in our Nitrogen Sports review, they are extremely hands-on with their customer service. If you’ve thought up a bet that you can’t find or figure out how to place in the Nitrogen sportsbook, contact their customer service team as there’s every chance they’ll be able to make it happen and give you the odds.
Live Betting & Streaming
We mentioned above in our Nitrogen sportsbook review that they do offer in play and live betting, however their options aren’t numerous here, one of the few pitfalls in their impressive sportsbook offering. We’ve said they aren’t numerous, but the upside is that they are extremely easy to find as the list of sports and games going on at any particular time are all pushed near the top of the list and the in play bets available are clear and easy to find.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that Nitrogen offers much in the way of live streaming, especially with the major leagues and more popular sports. They do offer live streams of eSports and SIM sports via Twitch. Nitrogen do keep their scores and stats up to date and you can always follow what’s going on in big games via the live chat room, where you can also share your own betting slips via a link.
As a general rule, Nitrogen Sports caters for low-to medium stake betters rather than proper high rollers. That being said, their betting limit has grown quite considerably over the past few years from just 1.0 BTC to 10 BTC on the majority of their major betting markets today. Lesser known sports or smaller betting markets will have varying limits, with most of them being much smaller than this 10 BTC limit.
To summarise our Nitrogen Sportsbook review here, we have to say we’re overall glowingly positive. If you’re looking to bet on sports with bitcoin, this is one of the best places to do it. The amount of sports betting markets on offer is second to none, the odds are decent and the range of betting types is more than ample. We’d like to see more in play betting options and a better live streaming service added, but overall, it’s top marks from us here.
We’re not exaggerating when we say that this is one of the best bitcoin sports betting websites around at the minute. The safety, security and anonymity is top notch and the innovative one time account should be adopted by every other bitcoin betting site in our opinion.
Sure, there are some shortcomings; the betting limits may restrict the more serious betters and the fact you can only pay with bitcoin may put some others off, but the positives by far outweigh the negatives with this sportsbook. If you’re looking to bet on sports with bitcoin from literally anywhere in the world, Nitrogen Sports would be a fine choice.
